ALL DAY @ THE OLD E // COMMUNITY JAM COLLECTIVE at The Old England Pub
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Hallelujah, Community Jam Collective’s massively stacked all-dayers are back in action, packing 8+ hours of live music and DJs across both floors of the lil old Old E. Hard to pick favourites among this lot but definitely do not miss: rough-and-tumble folk yarns from Dozmary, blissfully thunderous alt-rock five-piece Treemask and feel-good roots + dub spinner Hakim."

With manic time signature sprees, chords they can’t even name, and lyrics that are arguably unintelligable nonsense they’ve got little to nothing going for them other than their dashing good looks and irrifutable mantra. Join the Circus, they say? Well after hearing them you might just wish to!" https://www.instagram.com/treemaskband?igsh=MTVxZmVvZ3FoZGYybQ== Oscar Jones Band - Oscar Jones is Bristol-based folk songwriter known for his earnest and sophisticated songs. He and his band create a raw wall-of-sound with janky guitars and naive sing-alongs. https://www.instagram.com/oscar___jones?igsh=YTZoMzR6N3MwaGJ0 Wakey Wakey Rise & Shine - Smudger Lewis, Seamus Daley-Dee, Harri Elliott and Duncan Whitelock. They all met in Bristol via university, festivals and Gumtree ads. Influenced by the likes of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Snapped Ankles, and new wave trailblazers DEVO and The B-52s, Wakey Wakey Rise & Shine have released numerous singles and two EP’s since 2020. Their latest EP ‘Rear Meat’ was released via Velvet Echoes Records in May 2025 and was supported by two self-funded UK tours in that year. Wakey Wakey Rise & Shine are now gearing up for the release of their debut album, also being released via Velvet Echoes Records, which will explore themes such as anti-capitalism, burnout and the daily grind but with a dose of Wakey Wakey Rise & Shine irony. https://www.instagram.com/wakeywakeyriseandshine?igsh=MTJpZWV0Zzk5NnhsaQ== UPSTAIRS (VINYL) SONNY (TEN2ONE) ISAAC (TWOSTEPFORWARD) SELECTA HAKIM DÖNEN PLASTIK BEAN SWELLING DJ WILDMAN We aim to provide a platform for grassroots musicians to perform on stages, network with other musicians and establish themselves within the Bristol scene.
