HORSEFAIR DEBUT HEADLINE @ THE OLD E
-HORSEFAIR- https://www.instagram.com/horsefair.wav
Horsefair’s live shows seethe and boil. Scholars of post-rock and art-punk, the rising six piece have honed sharp turns and towering swells of noise down to a science.
Anchored by the haunting alto timbre of lead vocalist & saxophonist Kate Francis, Horsefair channels the unnerving power of PJ Harvey, the hypnotic chamber rock of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and the intricate math-rock edge of Mogwai.
In a single breath, the band can whip a crowd into a frenzy and then subdue them into hushed, cathedral-like stillness. Rapidly carving their place in the Bristol live circuit, a city that birthed trip hop royalty like Portishead and Massive Attack, Horsefair are fast becoming its next breakout act.
After tearing through support slots at venues like London’s Shacklewell Arms, Bristol’s Louisiana and Ashton Court Mansion, Horsefair are gearing up for their debut headline show; 27th of August at The Old England, Montpelier - a guaranteed sellout.
Horsefair are:
Kate Francis - vocals, saxophone
James Allen - guitar
Ethan Munden - drums
Louis Boon - bass
Lewis Spampinato - violin, guitar
Giannas Nikodimons - electronics
-ALFIE DEMOS- https://www.instagram.com/alfiedemos
Alfie Demos is the solo project of guitarist Alfie Desbruslais, from the band Looney Bergonzi. Drawing from inspirations such as Leonard Cohen and Elliott Smith, expect gloomy singer songwriting and bad guitar techniques
