A gig on Wednesday 5th June. The event starts at 19:30.

Dear Friends, We’re delighted to announce the third instalment of GUD Instinct’s “Table Music” series hosted by JOW (music, improvisations, collaborations, soup and beverages, all nestled in the homely warmth of The Orchard Coffee and Co in St George) on Wednesday June 5th. Following on in our series (1 - modular synths, 2 - drums and electronics) and hot off the heels of our SOLD OUT event in April we are extraordinarilly excited to have the incredible flautist and improviser Tina Hitchens join us for another evening of musical explorations. We were first introduced to Tina at an intimate gig at the legendary Friendly Records, down in Southville, and think its about time east bristol had a chance to be mesmerised by her playing. Tina will be familiar to those immersed in the blossoming Bristol free improv scene and many may be familiar with her work as a composer / sound artist where she is "interested in exploring the peripheries of sound; textures, space, breath, extremes, and in deep listening". Tina currently appears with Viridian Ensemble, Harpoon, Wendy Miasma and South West Improvisers Group, plus others; and we're very excited for the collaborative potential of our impromptu trio. As ever, the evening will start with a small little introductory set of new tunes by hosts JOW, a medium-sized solo performance by Tina on flute and electronics, and a perfectly-formed collaborative set bringing both acts together for a unique cello-trumpet-flute trio finale. We may even have time to chat with Tina about her influences, inspirations and methodologies... Tickets are tiered at £8/10/12 £12 - a bit more than the standard price but helps us to subsidise a ticket for someone else £10 - this is the recommended ticket price and means we can pay everyone involved fairly £8 - a subsidised option for those that cannot afford the higher ticket price

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
