Free Music from Local Artists

Join us at the Red Lion for a FREE evening of original music from three Bristol based artists: Chris Rule, Nish Rana and Kal.

The music is free but we welcome donations for Second step, a local charity that provides mental health services and support for those who are homeless or at risk of being so. Recommended donation is £10 but appreciate whatever you can spare. All ticket proceeds will be donated, or you can use this page:

Chris Rule

Fingerstyle acoustic guitarist influenced by indie folk artists such as Ben Howard, presenting original songs with melodies that stay with you.

Nish Rana (@nish_rana_music)

Presenting his debut EP Part of Me (out on all platforms 16/10/26), blending neo soul chords with authentic songwriting. Expect intimate originals with some international covers thrown in to spice things up. 

Kal (@Kal.music)

Channelling the spirit of Prince meets Stevie Wonder, KAL brings smooth vocals and funk-infused electric guitar grooves. Expect charisma, soul, and plenty of swagger.

The night grew out of the Open Mic Surgery at the George & Dragon - hosted by Kal every Monday.
