Deems Experiment at The Stable, Bristol
See event details

A gig on Friday 27th May. The event starts at 22:00.

Deems is a pianist originally from Manchester. He was surrounded by a lot of music growing up, both inside and outside his home, where Highlife, Afrobeat, Hip hop, R&B, and Classical music were played. Eventually he took up the piano, first playing classical, then transitioning to jazz and improvising generally. Influences include Snarky Puppy, Herbie Hancock, and Brad Mehldau. Drawing from a wide variety of sonic sources including jazz, art rock, classical and electronic music, Deems Experiment is a collaborative, improvised project with rotating musicians, selected for their commitment to free improvisation and communication through music. This event is free entry
