A FREE EVENT SHOWCASING ALTERNATIVE HIP HOP, DRUM MACHINES & SAMPLING Headlined by Goya Gumbani who is bringing his soulful, jazz-infused hip hop. Goya will be accompanied by fellow New York artist Shavuo representing the current state of independent New York rap. Also performing is Obiekwe, whose sound is grounded in largely self- and co-produced beats, with rhythms and emotions that come from deep within. His introspective approach opens a space for vulnerability, offering a voice to the often unspoken aspects of African masculinity and personal growth. Finally hailing from Leicester, Halfpipe is a rapper and producer who combines soulful and alternative beats with introspective lyricism. With musical influences ranging from soul and jazz to the UK rap scene.
