WAKEY WAKEY RISE AND SHINE:

A full bodied 4 piece with floral notes, earthy undertones and a smooth finish.

“the track is very upbeat and positive. A real collage of wavy guitars and synths woven together with solid rhythm section and a main guitar line that just keeps giving and giving throughout.” clunkmag.com

HOW NICE:

Dance-rock with a grunge twist, brit-pop garnish and a dash of hip hop sound. Wonderfully reminiscent of the best 90’s indie rock but with a bunch of contemporary twists like a mid-way hip hop breakdown or improvised solo, Both ominous and effervescent How Nice demonstrate their meticulous layering and duality that is s weaved into every aspect of their songwriting, recording, and performance process! https://culturecollide.com

ESTRELLAS is an alternative rock band, with a modern take on the genre; they're inspired by artists such as Jeff Buckley and Wolf Alice, with densely textured arrangements and lyrics shrouded in metaphor. Fronted by Charlotte McPherson's powerful vocals, and buoyed by Jake Wild's idiosyncratic songwriting and guitar playing style, the band is filled out by the rock-solid rhythm section of Stuart Clark and Rob Lennox, who keep the groove going with a jazzy, improvisational flair. The band’s debut single ‘I Know You Never’ received radio play on BBC Introducing upon its release last summer, with its themes of personal growth and dynamic arrangement leading to it getting added to playlists and receiving several thousand streams. The song recalls an up-tempo Alice in Chains’ ‘Down in a Hole’, with its twisting lyrics recalling those of John Lennon. ‘I Know You Never’ was quickly followed up by ‘Harmony’, a more delicate fingerpicked affair recalling Jeff Buckley’s version of ‘Hallelujah’ and Simon & Garkfunkel’s ‘Overs’. A live favourite, the song climbs from a solitary guitar with a lyric ruminating on the disintegration of love, to a dramatic climax with the full band. Since then, the band has been hard at work, relocating to Bristol and recording the remainder of their dynamic setlist, with another 8 songs nearing ready for release. Truly an act to watch.
