SPARKO'S GOING BACK HOME at The Thunderbolt

A gig held at The Thunderbolt on Saturday 12th December. The event starts at 20:30.

The founding bassist of the legendary Pub Rock Rhythm and Blues quartet Dr Feelgood takes on the Thunderbolt!

John B. Sparkes brings the Canvey sound to the west with guitarist John Simpson (the writer behind the single and Wilko Johnson tribute song I Don't Get It) and drummer Matt Hector (Iggy Pop, Grace Jones, Marc Almond).

Sparko was one of the original members of the band alongside Lee Brilleaux, Wilko Johnson and John Martin (known as 'the Big Figure'). His basslines were a key part to the medicine in their malpractice and mayhem throughout the 70s, right into the start of the 80s. He can be heard thundering on such hits as Roxette and She Does It Right, as well as Milk and Alcohol during the Gypie Mayo years of the band.
