'spirited, raw attitude from the power of the sticks and the sublime edgy and raw licks of the guitar,' Bluesdoodles live music review

'Fine album of contemporary punk blues delivered with energy, attitude, anger and sometimes primal rage.' Blues Matters

'This is music for an old-fashioned dark rock club, where sweat and alcohol keep the walls moist.' Alt Country.NL

Stone Theory

"There's something special about a band who can make the whole audience sit down in the middle of a blues/metal set. The exuberance and freedom in their performance is a joy to watch. Great chemistry on stage." - Husky Tones

"An EP full of lung-bursting energy throughout. They themselves say that “indifference has no place here”, and seemingly neither does mediocrity as they crash onto the rock scene with a rather loud bang." - Rock Chic

Noisy Bristol Boys.

Pretty, Ugly, Vagabondy, Bond, James Bond(y) and more importantly right up your alley, cat. Blues Grooves and Heavy Roots combined with undeniable volume and unexplainable passion form the base of our drive to play and aspire for more.

Drunken Butterfly

Bristol based three piece drawing inspiration from the likes of Kim Gordon, Babes in Toyland, PJ Harvey and Patti Smith. Combining guitar, bass and drums with ukulele and melodica they create a fusion of snarly fuzzy punk rock and acoustic folk.

'Tonight the trio bought energy as they performed their own numbers form current EP and a cover of PJ Harvey a big inspirational force on Darcie, bassist & vocalist, Alice guitarist & Katie on drums summing up the power behind them with the slogan Girls Unite. The band is raw and youthful as they open tonight’s proceedings; With Sister, Not all Men and Socialist in The City, title track of the EP with confidence they played a new number performing it live for the first time tonight,; Good Bye Union, reflecting on Brexit. Drunken Butterfly with hints of many bands from the past including Poly Styrene have the potential to make a noise that will be long appreciated on the music scene'. Bluesdoodles
