Mi Mye + Nossiennes + The Overmorrow at The Thunderbolt

A gig held at The Thunderbolt on Thursday 19th October. The event starts at 19:30.

MI MYE
Primarily a fiddle player, guitarist and lyricist, Jamie learnt to play in the Highlands as a child (including tutoring from Scottish Traditional Music Hall Of Fame member Alisdair Fraser) and often leans on his roots of folk music and storytelling to produce beautiful songs of empathy
and hope.
These often combine with the influences gathered from an adult life in Wakefield (the centre of indie pop), creating music that can be both tender and melodic with more ambitious and idiosyncratic arrangements and production. Mi Mye have been compared to Sparklehorse, the National and Will Oldham.
Jamie is joined by a gently movable line-up of members, each bringing their own incredible musicianship and personality, from a host of bands such as Carpet, Buen Chico, Death to Everyone, Crake, Little Japanese Toy, Valley of Arches, St Gregory Orange, The Old House, THANK and Soft Orca.
Mi Mye released an album 'Wimp' and EP 'The Bow Saw and the EQ' on the same day at the end of 2022 and are enjoying getting out and about playing them.
