BRAMWELL + Phreakers + Air Host at The Thunderbolt

A gig held at The Thunderbolt on Thursday 21st March. The event starts at 20:00.

BRAMWELL
"Melodic and wonky, striking a satisfying balance between jangle pop and weird,
jagged punk - the popular and the forbidden. Magic realism-tinged lyricism and a hypnotic climax that allows you to sink into the song."
After meeting while seeing out their final days at school, Tom Grogan, Avalon Vowles, Murphy Tandy and Sol Drury began writing and distilling their diverse formative musical influences to create a sound that pays homage to the raw energy of early proto-punk guitar noise, infused with a modern post-punk jangle rock sensibility.

“The Devonshire four piece of Tom, Sol, Murphy and Avalon, are phenomenally good live – and that’s putting it mildly. Velvets cool, with Mark E Smith vocals, piling into a soundtrack that’s two parts Pixies to one part Bernard Butler, they’re an art-rock dream. Bands this good don’t come along very often. Miss Bramwell at your peril”.
