SongSmith Bristol at The Thunderbolt

A gig held at The Thunderbolt on Wednesday 15th June. The event starts at 19:30.

The first and possibly only SongSmith Global event of the year- Since moving out of event management during the pandemic QJB has been songwriting, penning the odd review and recording.
Working with a couple of songwriting groups online he has put together a fine half dozen new originals for release and wanted to share a stage with some of the fantastic group of musicians from the South West that had provided mutual support throughout what has likely been the most difficult two years for the largest number of people globally. And we’re all global now.
With a couple of guests to be added our line up playing short sets and collaborating with each other too are:
The stupendous Sharon Lazibyrd writing her best material yet and starting to string together a new set of dates across the south west and beyond playing with celloist Gerry Barnett of Ushti Baba
The magnificent Maaike Siegerest an extraordinary writer of jazz tinged pop and supreme vocalist playing with piano player and producer Jonni Slater
The tremendous Tim Burroughs with as many Shiny Blue Demons as can crawl from the crypt. A writer of poetic and world music pop/folk.
Further guests to be announced soon.
Tickets £5 advance and £7 on the door from Headfirst and Ents24
Sadly a little far for our Scottish friends who made up the backbone of the Sunday Songwriters to travel. Watch out Glasgow. You might be next! See less
