T.S. IDIOT & The Hideous Trend at The Thunderbolt

A gig held at The Thunderbolt on Wednesday 3rd July. The event starts at 19:30.

After supporting Vic Godard & Subway Sect in April, queer punk poet T.S. IDIOT is back for a headline show with THE HIDEOUS TREND (and some very special guests) in tow. T.S. IDIOT has performed with DIY punks old and new, including Attila the Stockbroker, TV Smith (The Adverts) and The Spook School, as well as featuring at spoken word events across the UK. His backing band THE HIDEOUS TREND reformed in Bristol in 2019 with an all-star lineup including members of Mildred Maude, joy and GINS. Audiences can expect unsolicited rantings about identity, mental health and gay astronauts, backed by a post-punk soundscape - also featuring electro-ska lunatic Dude the Obscure. For fans of Pansy Division, The Screamers, Sultans of Ping and disappointing your parents. Debut single 'TWAT' out in June. https://tomstockley.weebly.com/ts-idiot.html https://uncrecords.bandcamp.com/album/twat + The Perverts Hide your fizzy pop and get ready to dance, The Perverts are here. Queer heroes of the Bristol DIY scene, they've been baffling audiences with their unique brand of industrial post-punk since 2002. As well as writing such hits including 'Autism Is Sexy' and 'Never Trust A Clown', the quartet recently featured in Rolling Stone for their improvised musical at The Exchange, Bristol and supported Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs. They've also released an astonishing number of records on various labels including Legs Akimbo Records and Must Die Records and amassed a loyal following of fans known as Pervlets. A must see for fans of Wesley Willis, The Slits and Gloria Gaynor. https://perverts.bandcamp.com + Nervous Rex Non binary, dinopunk band babes. After forming at Eat Up For Starters in 2018, the Bristol trio have already wowed audiences playing shows with fellow indie punks like Martha, WOAHNOWS and Fraser and from The Murderburgers.
