Outside the Club is a game of ever-changing rules. It combines technical juggling, sculpture and dance to create a series of complex worlds which require extreme cooperation and competition to succeed.
The personal politics between the three characters, their objects and their audience create moments of comedy and pain which reflect larger societal relationships and the feelings evoked by the UK’s changing political landscape. Expect an intensely rhythmical, playful, visually satisfying and emotive piece of circus that unfolds to an uplifting soundtrack by great British musicians.
Outside the Club is the slickly choreographed and thought-provoking first show from Broken Box - a collective of three graduates from the UK’s two circus schools: Circomedia and the National Centre for Circus Arts.
‘A brilliantly eloquent, charming and stylish exploration of body, object, rhythm and pace’ - Bristol 24/7 on Robin Boon Dale’s What Does Stuff Do?
