Fireside // Nikki & JD Lost Dog at The Trinity Centre
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Sell out warning! Absurd stunts, crooked comedy, and a killer live soundtrack in this carnivalesque reimagining of Beowulf! Nikki & JD’s Fireside zigs where the epic zags, with monsters on stilts, heroes flinging themselves through the night sky, and a score to set your eyebrows on fire. The Geats, the Grendel, the dragon... it’s all here, just a little weirder."

A event held at The Trinity Centre on Friday 17th October. The event starts at 18:00.

Gather around the fire and let us remind you of what it was to be afraid of the dark. Don’t build the fire too high, sing too loud or laugh too heartily because he’s out there and he’s hungry… The award-winning circus company Nikki & JD in collaboration with Lost Dog create an outdoor show that combines circus, dance, theatre and live music to re-enact the original horror story. The one about the monster, and the monster’s mother, and the dragon and the hero and the severed limbs. Dark, comic and dangerous, this is a modern re-telling of the ancient epic, Beowulf.
