These varied artists include Rosie Caley who just left a full time career in engineering to pursue art and sees Art Battle as “the deepest possible end of the pool”. Gabor Kerekes who is “putting myself into new situations to push myself out of my comfort zone.” Tobyn Skinner who will “go anywhere to win” and describes his work as dark and disturbing. Plus, a wildcard, drawn from a hat of audience members on the night. All artists get the same Daler-Rowney paints, the same canvas, the same easel and the same 20 minutes to create whatever they want.
Liam Callebout, the winner of our November Battle, will be returning as the feature painter and has the entire battle to create a work of their choosing. With 2 hours and complete freedom, we are thrilled to see what he will create!
All works created, including Liam’s, will be available for silent auction on the night, bridging the gap between creators and collectors, creating a supportive creative community, and allowing audiences to take away a part of the night to remember.
All materials for the artists to show off their skills are provided by our headline sponsor Daler-Rowney.
We are thrilled to be working with Trinity Centre to continue building and contributing to the community of artists and audience that makes Bristol such an awesome city.
