An evening with Belly at The Trinity Centre

A gig held at The Trinity Centre on Monday 29th September. The event starts at 19:30.

Formed in 1991 by Tanya Donelly (formerly of Throwing Muses and the
Breeders) with brothers Thomas and Christopher Gorman (formerly of Verbal
Assault), Belly became known for a blend of spirited guitar rock, countrified pop
and Donelly’s haunting lyrics and voice.

King introduced Belly’s more collaborative songwriting model, with several tracks
co-written by Donelly, Greenwood, and Tom Gorman. King was recorded live at
Nassau Studios in the Bahamas with producer Glyn Johns, and was engineered
by Jack Joseph Puig. The album was an exciting fusion of alt-rock, dream-pop,
and shimmering folk influences.
