Jonny Vel n is an English singer and songwriter. Growing up as an aspiring musician, classically trained as a boy, with a music obsessed father and grandfather; he was immersed in a huge variety of musical tastes; from Wagner operas and Russian ballets to African dance and touring circuses. Ten years of song writing now and the debut album is in the can (recorded at Toybox Studios in Bristol). It's distinctive: he has a unique style, blending classic rock and pop with mystic wonder. Vel n has a story to tell and clearly a theatrical show beckons.

On January 17th, at the Trinity Fyfe Hall, Bristol, Jonny Vel n's debut album will be performed in full - an extravaganza rock-magic/art-pop show. All 20 of the local musicians performing, helped record the album - the'big band' includes horns, strings and the Vel n rock quartet. Dancers have been promised. Vel n has ambitions to make it big. Proud to be in Bristol and keen to be at the forefront of new music of the highest quality, this is a show he wants people to remember. The debut single from Jonny Vel n, 'The Cambridge Squeeze,' is out in January, available as a digital download. The album will be released later next year.
