Indie veterans Dodgy will headline this year's Figure 8 Festival.
The trio whose hits include the catchy'Staying Out For The Summer', 'Good Enough' and'If You're Thinking Of Me' returned with a bang last year - with their critically acclaimed album'Stand Upright In A Cool Place', which was likened to Midlake, John Grant and Wilco.
The group is currently on the road with an acoustic hits set, and it is this set which they'll be playing at Figure 8 Festival. A firm favourite at festivals, Dodgy are known for providing feel good sets of singalong songs from the 90s as well as showcasing their newer, well-received material.
Dodgy are joined at this exciting charity festival by the likes of Brighton-based folk artist Chris T-T, Mumford & Sons and Laura Marling collaborator Pete Roe and Leeds rockers ALASKA as well as former King Blues member Josie Ghost, London singer/songwriter Katie Malco and Northampton's answer to Damien Rice, Joel Harries, the man behind Men Diamler, Richard Abberline, Mat Motte's new band Shock Horror and up and coming Camden indie kids Velveteen.
There is also a strong Bristol contingent on the bill - including The St Pierre Snake Invasion, She Makes War, MyOwnFlag, Oliver Wilde, Goan Dogs and Sarah Proudfoot. The acts will be spread across two nights; a festival pre-party at The Birdcage, Bristol, on Friday September 27, from 7pm - late and at Trinity Centre on Saturday September 28, from 2pm until 2am - both with DJs taking to the decks after the main acts finish.
Once more, proceeds raised from the volunteer-led event go to Macmillan Cancer Support. Last year's inaugural event in Dorset, raised a whopping £5,000 for the UK-based cancer charity. There will also be a raffle, cake sale, market, food stalls and more.
