DRAG KINGS & THINGS WORKSHOP - BEGINNERS - 11AM - 1PM
This is a taster session designed for new performers looking to take their first steps onto the stage as a drag performer. We will cover:

- Choosing a name
- Techniques for designing your first act
- Stage presence & performing with confidence
- Getting your first bookings
- Q&A

This workshop will be brought to you by Oliver Assets, Manly Mannington, Fluxx Wyldly, and Kurt Sovain. Whilst much of what this workshop covers will also be applicable to drag queens, we are aiming this at kings & non-gender specific performers (aka "drag things") because that is where our knowledge lies. If you are unsure what sort of drag gender expression you are interested in, or if you are more interested in becoming a drag queen, you are still most welcome to join us if you're happy with the above caveat!

Tickets are £15 for People of Colour who are also Queer or Trans or Intersex (QTIPOC). General workshop tickets are £35(+BF). All workshop tickets include entry to the evening's Brizzle Boyz cabaret show.

This workshop is aimed at newer drag performers that are looking to elevate their current performance level. As a rough guide we see this as people that have been performing for a year or less or have performed around 20 times or less. We will cover:

- Elevating your look + performance
- Sustainability in drag (financially and mentally)
- WIP act feedback
- Q&A

WHAT IS BRIZZLE BOYZ?
The South West's premier queer punk drag king cabaret night and one of the largest king nights in the UK, Brizzle Boyz is an electrifying LGBTQIAAP+ variety performance night. A true melting pot of local and national talent, Brizzle Boyz brings together a carefully curated line up of some of the best and boldest drag performers in the country. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll leave wanting a glittery moustache!

SAFER SPACE POLICY & CONTENT WARNINGS
Brizzle Boyz is an LGBTQIAAP+ event and we aim to promote a welcoming space for all that attend. There will be a programme on the night to alert attendees to which acts contain potentially upsetting or controversial subject matter. This can be accessed in advance on the day of the show by our digital programme at linktr.ee/brizzleboyz. If you have any concerns on the night please find either Fluxx, Oliver, Kurt, or the person who checked your ticket and let us know so we can help you. The line up is subject to changes.

ACCESSIBILITY & SEATING
This show will be held at the Trinity Centre’s garden space, The Den. The event will be fully seated, in rows of chairs with back supports. We will not have the tables that we usually have at the front of our seating, but if you require something to rest your drink on etc please send us a message and we'll see what we can sort for you. If you or your guests require a specific type of seat or location, we strongly recommend you let us know as soon as possible so we can organise and reserve you a suitable seat.

The Den is on a single level, including the bar. Flooring is paved in the approach to The Den and for the rearmost rows (in the car park and first 1.5m into The Den) whilst the rows nearer the stage have flooring made of hogging (yellow stones / sand like material which compresses to make a level ground). There is a slight drop from paving to hogging, approx. 1cm. Trinity have advised us that while weather and use can cause dips in the hogging, they are constantly checking and leveling out as they arise. The Den has its own toilet facilities and currently 1 accessible toilet outside, however guests are welcome to also use the toilets inside the main hall.
The bar area is over hogging/gravel and while we have been assured there will be a clear route between seating and the bar, we may be able to arrange table service if there are people that need it. Please enquire in advance ([email protected]) so we can arrange this for you. We want to make sure everyone has the best time here, so please understand this service is intended for our audience with access needs, and can't be available for everyone.

If you have further questions or would need specific assistance on the night, please let us know so we can make sure we’re providing everything we can.

Support workers are allowed free access to the venue. This needs to be arranged prior to the event via [email protected] where a carers pass can be arranged - please make sure to email us at the time of purchase as we will not be able to account for carers tickets after the show has sold out.

REFUNDS
Refunds are not available unless/until the event sells out, at which point ticket resales will be turned on and you will be welcome to resell your ticket to the waiting list. Any posts selling tickets on our page outside of Headfirst will be deleted to protect against scammers.
