Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball at The Trinity Centre
£27 adv + bf

A gig held at The Trinity Centre on Tuesday 26th March. The event starts at 19:00.

Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball are best known as members of Gomez, a British rock act whose debut album ‘Bring it on’, won the Mercury Music Prize in 1998.

After they toured around Oz as a duo, Ben and Ian return with new songs, plus they'll perform all the favourites from the Gomez years. As a duo, their joyful and harmonious performance brings together a bit of blues, indie pop and folk-rock for a music lovers' feast.

After releasing the band’s sixth album in 2009, Ben Ottewell began paving the way for a solo career, well known for his “deep, raspy voice” and “gravelly baritone”. Ottewell's deep, soulful voice has gained him some acclaim, and has drawn some comparisons to Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, and artist Tom Waits.

After sharing lead vocals and guitars in the band, Ian Ball has also performed and released two solo albums. He also dabbled in electronica with Lionel 6, an experimental trio that included members of Australia’s Gelbison.
