NEVER THE BRIDE, FEATURING INTERNATIONAL MUSIC STARS NIKKI LAMBORN AND CATHERINE FEENEY, WHOSE LUMINOUS, INSPIRATIONAL AND EDGY TAKE ON ROCK N ROLL MAKE HEADLINES EVERYWHERE, RETURN TO BRISTOL ON FRIDAY 14th SEPTEMBER.

After a triumphant, electric debut performance at'The Tunnels' in March, Never The Bride are back by popular demand. Bristolian Nikki Lamborn, an intense singer with radiant charisma is magnificently accompanied by Catherine'Been' Feeney, gifted on piano, keyboard and guitar. The two have written, recorded and toured internationally for over 25 years with a band of talented musicians.

'You can listen to our lyrics and people know we've had a pretty shitty love life we can't possibly get married, or we'd have to change the name of our band! ' comments Nikki. Catherine quips, "not that we've been short of offers! "

Never The Bride is noted for their ballsy style of musicianship and vocal powerhouse approach. Their song"The Living Tree" was a hit for Dame Shirley Bassey and they masterminded her memorable Glastonbury appearance and produced her Top Ten UK album"Get The Party Started. "

In 1985 Nikki played the role of Persian Moll in the musical'Stinkfoot: A Comic Opera' at The Old Profanity Showboat, written and directed by the infamous Vivien Stanshall (Bonzo Dog Doo Da Band) and his wife, author Ki Longfellow-Stanshall. This role was reprised in 2010 at The Thekla.

The pair's beautifully crafted songs of pain and loss will have extra poignancy on this September Friday evening; Nikki's first hometown performance since the sudden tragic death of her mother, Patricia Rice, whose funeral took place in Stapleton in May. A familiar face at local gigs and anyone who met her knew how special she was and how proud she was of her daughter's musical success; from performing local venues such as The Granary and The Bristol Bridge Inn in their days to recording and performing around the world with some of the biggest names in music including Alice Cooper, Peter Frampton, Elton John, Chaka Khan, Robert Plant, Paul Rodgers, Mark Ronson, The Pretenders, Procol Harum and to 23,000 at Bristol City Stadium supporting The Who.

During their recent tour of United States, Liza Minnelli came to show her support and was first on her feet leading a standing ovation for Never The Bride at legendary New York venue Don't Tell Mama.
