Lil Silva's current production output and live credentials seem a far cry from the Bedford-based, makeshift studio from which he exploded in 2008. Although club shows have got bigger and original/collaborative releases have got better, Lil Silva's musical influence and focus still remains: an unabashed amalgamation of the minimal machine funk of Chicago's Trax label, the aggression of early grime, a tropical resonance with soca, a semblance with the rugged darkness of modern techno and the sonic invention of The Neptunes.
Hailing from South London talented producer and DJ, Last Japan, has set himself firmly within the UK underground scene with highly acclaimed and indisputably innovative releases on independent label such as Bullet Train, LNUK and Signal Life. Last Japan's success has not come as any surprise with a strong musical background, playing four instruments since childhood and going on to study a degree in music production. His identifiable creativity and technical abilities give him a notable edge and he has become the definition of a young, independent and underground artist.
