The Undercover Hippy official album launch gig! Celebrating the release of their long awaited 4th album "Not Paying Attention". To mark the occasion, they will be playing as 6 piece with a horn section for the first time ever!
Plus support from very special guests State Of Satta. This is going to be huge!
The Undercover Hippy:
Described by Tom Robinson (BBC6Music) as being “like the love-child of Steel Pulse, Kate Tempest and The Sleaford Mods”, The Undercover Hippy’s music brings together powerful messages, infectious reggae rhythms, and a lyrical delivery that will get even the most hardened hip-hop head nodding in approval.
After an agonisingly long wait, their new album "Not Paying Attention" is finally set to drop in April 2023, and to celebrate the band have put together a very special tour. For the first time EVER they will be bringing a horn section along for the ride, so this will be Undercover Hippy like you've never heard it before! The new album will be available at the show (even if it's not officially out yet), so you'll be able to take the songs home with you finally.
What they say about The Undercover Hippy (the nice things):
“Politically charged reggae that sticks two fingers up to the powers that be …”
FRESH ON THE NET
“A powerful masterpiece that weaves together humour and shrewd political commentary to create a catchy, fun, and renegade protest album that could not be more relevant …”
ON THE BEAT MAGAZINE
“The combination of catchy tunes, rhythmic vocal style and socially aware, often amusing lyrics is a recipe that is difficult to nail without seeming preachy or dull, but this succeeds where many fail …” E GIGS
