BRISTOL!
We are back at the boat that rocks and this time we’re rocking it with a rhythm ‘n’ blues bonanza all night long. Think sweat, love and rock n roll! Itchy Feet has come full circle round the country and will be landing slap bang bump right on hump day the 24th of January and we can’t wait! Our favourite Itchy Feet veterans the Black Kat Boppers will be gracing the stage at Thekla with the raw rockabilly energy they bring to their sets, double bass and Gretsch at the ready! So slap on your quiffs and curls, skirts and shirts and brings those all-important fans because it’s about to get real hot on the dancefloor!
Just off the back of their UK tour and in the midst of their announcement they are playing at Viva Las Vegas, the mecca of rock n roll festivals, the Black Kat Boppers have a big year ahead of them. Likewise resident Itchy DJs Count Skylarkin and Scarlett O’Malley are bringing their boxes of 45s full of soul, ska and sass to Thekla to keep all hands and feet on deck boogieing. Count Skylarkin spent 2017 touring the country, pretty much living at festivals and gracing stages with lots of reggae goodness ready to bring some of that energy to the Thekla stage! Scarlett O’Malley likewise had a great year DJing everywhere from London to Ibiza and having radio shows across borders, she wants to ignite some rock n soul fire on the water in Bristol ‘mid-week we don’t care’ style!
Doors open at 11pm, so make sure you’ve done your stretches, hydrated during the day and rested up because Bristol, because let’s be honest, it’s been too long and we want to keep you rocking until 3am. We are looking to have the wildest, wettest, waviest night aboard the waters so don’t forget your ticket, grab your pals and we will see you on the dancefloor!
