Ben Pest - PULSEWAVE at Club395
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Bristol’s prime mover for gear-heavy acid destruction and galloping techno stompers, it doesn't get much meaner than Ben Pest when it comes to 303-flexing 4/4 swing. Somewhere between a Tresor marathon and Bangface bender, this one’s for the fiendish fans of: Jerome Hill, Radioactive Man, I Love Acid, Rephlex Recs, Neil Landstrumm."

A clubnight held at Club395 on Saturday 7th February. The event starts at 22:30.

An all live, all bristol-based heavyweight showdown of machine-funk, mutant electro and rabid hardware techno. Headliner Ben Pest leads the charge along with, Tape Twelve, and Zoid.

Ben Pest - This long-time globe trotting rave disrupter brings his signature blend of snarling electro, twisted techno rhythms, and warped acid that hit like a warehouse party in full eruption. Pure analogue mischief from one of the UK’s most singular hardware operators.

Tape Twelve - With a tightly-coiled barrage of percussive techno, broken groove experiments and low-end designed to rattle the walls. Channelling the off-kilter swing he’s become known for. Expect high-pressure selections stitched together with Bristol grit.

ZOiD - A shape-shifting sonic explorer with jazz in his bones and techno in his bloodstream, ZOiD deals in future-leaning electronics stitched together with free-flowing improvisation. Over decades of restless experimentation he’s fused Django-esque harmony, Aphex-grade abstraction into a sound that’s nimble, unpredictable and gloriously alive. From string quartets to acid burners, ZOiD moves with the curiosity of a lifelong outsider and the precision of a seasoned producer, forever chasing new frequencies, new shapes and new ways to bend rhythm into something beautifully strange.

A no-nonsense kind of lineup for heads who like it raw.
