Counting Blessings: Music for Dancers in Old Market. Welcomes everyone. House - Broken Beat - Jazz - Afro - Disco
This month we’re kicking things off with a Foundations of House Dance class by Issie Lloyd (Funk Supreme) 8-9pm soudtracked by a live House DJ set, followed by 3 solid hours of music for maximum movement courtesy of DJs Rafi and Katie Novo.
Entry is free all night, dance class is £6. We’re ticketing in advance for the dance class this month to avoid disappointment, as we got too many people last time!

Formerly at 1020 and now a Noods Radio resident, Slow Heat is the ultimate vibes show, and he translates the ‘Slow Heat’ ethos to the dancefloor with a warm, jazz-infused energy. Katie Novo, your Counting Blessings host, has been collecting music for over 30 years, and is a Noods Radio & 1BTN Radio resident. She founded Counting Blessings to create a happy, welcoming space to let go & enjoy the dancefloor: her selections are strictly for the dancers.

Issie Lloyd has worked as a professional dance practitioner specialising in street dance styles for 20 years, training in and delivering dance in the UK, Brazil, Ethiopia, West Coast USA and Europe.
Issie is co-founder of Funk Supreme, a community dance company delivering classes, social events and performances in the South West and Wales, covering styles including House, Dancehall, Hip Hop and Afrobeats. She brings a wealth of experience running interactive events that create connection through music and dance - it feels pretty special to have her.
