ABOUT YOUR DANCE INSTRUCTOR:
LOTTIE BALL is a dance/movement psychotherapist and somatic practitioner based in Bristol. In addition to running sessions for schools and community groups, she teaches regular classes and co-leads experimental movement workshops as part of Body Language.
Her dance background spans Afro-Samba, Streetjazz, House, Vogue and Hip-Hop, taking equal inspiration from studio-based training and club dancefloors. She’s drawn to spacious styles that promote inclusivity and expressive freedom. House dance for her is a spiritual exercise in mind-body-rhythm connection that offers a total state of joyful immersion.
The class will be open to all levels. If you're not familiar with House Dance, take a look at the video linked below: House Dance is one of the core street dance styles, and a growing scene that has crossed the Atlantic from its origins in Chicago & Detroit to blossom into thriving scenes in London, Barcelona, Paris and Tokyo among others.
