Bring Your Own Tracks 9 at To The Moon

A clubnight held at To The Moon on Saturday 10th March. The event starts at 19:00pm.

BYOT is an open-deck night. For DJs it is an opportunity to play your best finds in front of a crowd of other DJs and music lovers, build your confidence behind the decks, and talk to people who are interested in what you do. There are absolutely no genre-restrictions, so play what you love! For non-DJs its a great way to see the art of DJing and song selection from a bunch of different perspectives.

The monthly BYOT events have become an amazing opportunity to play music, find inspiration in others' selections and styles, and network within the dance music community.

On the sign up process: There are 2 ways to sign up to play at BYOT.

1. Attend a BYOT event and enter your name into the draw for sets at the next event. Set winners are drawn from a hat and are invited to play at the next event. BYOT9 set winners from BYOT8 are:

Tom Proffitt
Seb Samways
and Tim Steele

2. Wait for the sign-up invitation on this event page. I will post a comment in the event discussion and the first 3 commenters will be given a set.

Sets will be 40 minutes long, and set times will be drawn randomly from a hat at 7.30 on the night.

For digital DJs the Gear is a Pioneer XDJ-RX, and will feel very familiar if you've ever used rekordbox supported CDJs. Tracks need to be on a USB stick and FLAC format files are not supported, sorry!

If you prefer your music on a big round disc, I'm happy to announce the addition of a vinyl setup to BYOT's stage.

Happy digging!
