“WITTA (Writing In/Through/To Art) is a practice-as-research initiative developed by Lizzie Lloyd (Senior Lecturer in Fine Art and Art & Writing UWE Bristol). Its name reflects an interest in works that develop interrogative, relational, enquiring, speculative, generative, playful and performative approaches to art through words, and words through art. It looks to actively and experimentally consider how work developed at the intersection of art and text allows for creative/recreative/uncreative, wayward and imaginative thinking.”

“Only a few weeks into the job, Liz Truss has overseen the death of a monarch, almost destroyed the pound and has no answers to the cost of living crisis. Instead, our new PM and her chancellor have set out their plan to do what the Tories do best: tax cuts for the rich. Markets did not respond well to this, devaluing the currency, sending the bond market into crisis, and the Bank of England had to step in to get pension funds out of trouble.”

“The Living Womb (a new, up and coming grassroots Gallery, Performance and Workshop space @the_living_womb), presents Queer Story Telling with Evie Rey; a fun, playful, intimate and immersive space of Queer story telling and poetry share. Accompanied by an open mic, this space is inclusive of all people, prioritising and supporting Queer and marginalised artists/creatives/voices.”
