“A talk about how to give talks with award-winning software engineer and Certified Cool Dude Evie Skinner. In this session, we will be exploring some dos and don'ts around giving presentations: the vast majority of which apply to both in person and virtual public speaking. The session will cover a variety of nuggets and tips on topics like body language, slides, and confidence.”

“Bristol Life Drawing presents two hour sessions at cozy space in Pithay Studios.

This is a relaxed event to encourage diversity and creativity. Come join a lovely group of people and enjoy drawing beautiful models. We will start off the session with a few quick poses to warm up then move onto longer poses that’ll allow you to focus on detail.

Sessions include a fun jazz and r&b playlist along with wine and water (for non-wine drinkers). Basic materials are provided but we encourage you to bring your own. All levels are welcomed!

“There will be plenty of audience participation in this sparkling festive concert featuring all your favourite carols, Christmas choral works and orchestral pieces. Come and enjoy a brilliantly festive and fun evening under the baton of David Ogden, with City of Bristol Choir and the Bristol Ensemble, guaranteed to put you in the Christmas mood.”

“As we gather on (almost) the longest night of the year, around the fire, we will have live music from wonderful singer/song writer, Claire Vine. As well as folktales, Yuletide traditions, poems, mince pies and other festive treats with tea.”
From: Winter Solstice

“Here we return again for the annual winter solstice musical Ceremony. Featuring some of Bristol's most celebrated musicians we embark on an hour of ritualised improvisation. The Bristol Gamelan ensemble will be opening the event. Bring your blankets, come as you are, and get together with the local community in a celebration of light and resonance during the darkest time of the year.”
