A event on Tuesday 24th March. The event starts at 18:15.
Community Resilience Story-Making Workshop - A welcoming space to meet new people, share a meal and feel part of something.
--------------In a time where many of us feel stretched or disconnected, this evening offers something steady — a chance to slow down, connect locally, and imagine a better Bristol together.---------
What Happens on the Night?
1) We share a hearty hot vegetarian dinner together made with organic local food.
2) We take part in guided creative activities — writing, drawing, talking, music-making (you choose how you join in).
3) We reflect on what our communities need and what we want to see grow.
4) We close the workshop together and talk about next steps.
Who This Is For?
-This workshop is for adults (18+) who want to:
-Try something creative without pressure
-Talk about what matters in our communities
-Feel less alone
-Meet people outside their usual circles
-Be part of something hopeful and practical
-No experience needed.
You can come on your own or with a friend. Many people come alone — we make sure everyone feels included.
If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit in at arts events, you’re warmly welcome here — especially if you’re working-class, disabled, or from a Global Majority community.
This space is for you.
Spaces are limited to 30 people. Previous workshops have sold out.

The Bigger Picture
This workshop is part of our 9-month Community Resilience programme.
Each month we gather to:
1)Explore belonging and connection
2)Share stories about our neighbourhoods
3)Build confidence and creative skills
4)Strengthen local relationships
5)Imagine practical, hopeful futures for Bristol
We belive resilience begins with people knowing each other, trusting each other, and having space to think and act together.
You can attend once — or return monthly if it feels right.
There are also:
3 open creative call-outs (free to enter)
3 online gatherings
3 larger community events
But you don’t need to decide all that now.
Start with one evening.
