After a year and a half of quizzing, we will temporarily being saying goodbye to this part of the evening. On Friday 2nd of October, we will be saying hello to a writing workshop - more info below:

Come along to Windmill Hill City Farm Cafe for an evening writing and open mic'ing. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a first-timer looking to try out new material, all styles are welcome. We've had accordion players, poets, singers, storytellers...and even someone sharing their top life hacks!

Workshop
The workshop will be led by poet and one-time freelance journalist Jon Eldridge (check out his substack: https://jonathaneldridge.substack.com). It will give you a chance to unblock, be playful with language, and perhaps come away with a piece of writing you'll want to perform...

Max 2 songs if you're singing, or 8 mins for anything else! We always have 8 performance slots up for grabs, with extra slots available depending on time.

If you don't fancy staying for the whole time, you're welcome for the bit you'll enjoy and miss the rest. There are small bites, snacks and hot and cold drinks available from the bar until 8:30pm.

Timings:

- Doors: 5:45pm
- Workshop: 6:00 - 6:45pm
- Open mic: 7:00 - 8:30pm
- Close: 8:45pm
