Tile designs can be created by impressing or carving into the clay, once you have pressed or carved your tile, a lighter colour clay is pressed in. After a short wait allowing the inlayed clay a chance to partially dry, the tile is scraped back to reveal the inlayed design.

The first part of the class you will inlay a pre-pressed tile, this is made with a replica mould copied from tradition design, the second part of the class you will create a medieval or contemporary tile using your own designs.

The workshop is at Windmill City Farm Philip St, Bristol BS3 4EA. The class is 12:00 to 4:00pm
