A
event
on Saturday 9th July. The event starts at 19:30pm.
Come to Camp Firewood (AKA Windmill Hill City Farm) where The Standup Picture Show will present an outdoor screening of the cult classic Wet Hot American Summer preceded by live comedy from the likes of Gavin Osborn (“a genuine, wistful treat” – The Quietus) and the whimsical tales of Sam Shafer.
Originally released in 2001, Wet Hot American Summer features early performances from the likes of Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Banks. Too anarchic, weird and just downright silly for 2001 audiences, the film has developed a cult following in the years since with The Telegraph calling it “the movie every comedy snob has to see”.
Doors will open at 7.30pm with live comedy at 8pm and the film screening starting at dusk around 9.30pm.
