on Thursday 26th June. The event starts at 18:30.
Join us at the Wiper and True Barrel Store for the first workshop of the No Bad Plates: Painting Party Brewery Tour where each painting workshop will be hosted at a different local brewery around the Bristol and Bath area. During this workshop we will also be celebrating the publication anniversary of "Rainbows 4 Lyf" - an adult colouring book/short story collection full of LGBTQIA+ characters, talking toasters and squirrels who love hummus. As part of the workshop, we will read some of the stories and get a chance to paint the array of characters.
One can of charity Kaleidoscope will be included with every ticket - this year's charity partner for Wiper and True, is Caring in Bristol. They are a local charity who work with LGBTQIA+ individuals who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, and all profits from this batch of Kaleidoscope will be donated to this charity.
The workshop will include games and activities which provide prompts for each round of painting. You can expect things like Pass the Parcel or a Round of Pub Quiz But You Paint The Answers as well as painting some of the Rainbows 4 Lyf characters. There will be prizes for the quiz but they are based on knowledge only and you will never be judged on your painting skills.
We will be painting on paper plates and it is entirely up to you to decide whether you take the artwork home or leave it to be recycled. The aim is to encourage people who are not confident with painting, or haven't done it in a while, to give it a go; it's about having fun in the moment and making memories with friends.
The workshop will run for approximately two hours with a quick break in the middle - you are welcome to get more drinks from the bar at any point during the session.
