Counting Blessings All Day Party at Wiper and True Old Market Taproom
See event details

A clubnight on Saturday 8th November. The event starts at 14:00.

Counting Blessings touches down at Wiper & True for a full day of Latin & jazz-infused grooves. Six DJs from across the UK bring their own spin on jazz-influenced dancefloor sounds: Broken Beat/Bruk, Jazz-Funk, Soulful & Jazzy House, Latin, Brazilian, Funk and Boogie. Now in their third year, Counting Blessings is all about rhythm, connection and letting loose — a meeting point between the new wave of dancers and the roots of UK Jazz Dance culture. Expect deep selections, high energy and the friendliest vibes.

DJs:

Nick Schlittner (Come Sunday, Birmingham)
Co-founder of Come Sunday, the UK’s biggest monthly jazz dance session. A heavyweight collector and selector, Nick brings everything from batucadas and hard bop to Japanese fusion and rare groove — dancefloor pressure guaranteed.

Juno
Manchester/London-based selector blending percussive house, broken beat and jazz. With residencies on Reform Radio and guest slots across Europe, her deep, personal vinyl selections always land with heart.

Taygo (Turned Out Nice, Bazuka)
Bristol DJ with jazz drumming roots, fusing African & Latin club sounds with broken beat and house. Part of Turned Out Nice and Bazuka collective, with appearances at Co-Op and We Out Here.

Dom R
Void Radio resident and Space Jams promoter, Dom R draws from hip hop, Afro-Cuban grooves and Ethiopian jazz. A versatile musician with sets at Jazz Stroud, We Out Here and Love Inn under his belt.

Everton Young
A jazz dancer of 30+ years, Everton brings dancer’s insight and deep knowledge to the decks. Expect “real jazz for folks that feel jazz” — selections honed at Jazz Quarterly and Out To Lunch.

Katie Novo
Counting Blessings founder and 1BTN/Noods Radio host, Katie blends jazz, broken beat, Latin, funk, Afrobeat, house and boogie. Her sets celebrate connection and community on the floor.

100% of proceeds will go to Wiper and True’s 2025 charity partner, Caring in Bristol, supporting their vital work in homelessness prevention.
