A gig held at Zed Alley on Friday 29th May. The event starts at 19:30.

CREUX LIES Out of Sacramento’s long shadow of concrete, heat, and late-night drives, Creux Lies emerged with a sound that treats post-punk not as revivalism but as a living dialect — guitars blooming in chorus, synths structured with architectural patience, and melodies delivered with a romantic urgency that resists irony. The lineup — Ean Clevenger (voice/songwriting), Barry Crider (guitar/vox), Jon Mack (synth/vox/drums), and Kyle Vorst (bass/synth) — writes songs that function equally as solitary listening and collective catharsis: dance music for people who read liner notes. “If you’re in the market for music to add to your “Goth Throwback Party” playlist, look no further. Pairing deep, melancholic vocals with post-punk riffs and new-wave synth, this Sacramento-based group bring to mind ’80s nostalgia with a dark, modern twist. As fans of bands as stylistically varied as Depeche Mode, My Bloody Valentine and the Cure, Creux Lies coalesce such disparate influences into a cohesive sound that is distinctive and delightfully haunting. “ -ALTERNATIVE PRESS MAGAZINE STRANGE FUTURES Bristol's Strange Futures invite you to join their underground electro-punk dance party and ethereal goth séance, bringing dark beats, arresting basslines and ethereal melodies together with disarming lyrics. Having supported artists such as Drab Majesty, S Y Z Y G Y X, Male Tears, Traitrs, Ductape, and Dancing Plague, they are quickly gaining a reputation for an energetic and intense live show. Bring your own bleakness. TICKETS & INFO £14 adv £16 on the door Set times TBC
