A event on Sunday 19th April. The event starts at 14:00.
Take a break to rest your mind! Come and create something unique, that you could keep for yourself or give as a gift to a loved one. We will be making heart-shaped ornaments, with stitched details, ribbons and tassels.
We are gathering not only to stitch, but to co-create a safe space for expression, for sharing our presence and thoughts. Maybe the latest news got you overwhelmed, maybe you just wish to do something fun or just meet other creative people.
The community needs to come together, stronger than ever. In this process of unity, art comes to open a path. It would be great if you have a minimum of experience with needles or at least general crafts.
The workshop includes a short meditation, the craft session of 2 hours, and a gentle networking circle. Everyone is welcome, especially the diaspora community. Please do your best to arrive on time as we plan to start at 2 pm sharp.
- Everyone is welcome! Children of 6+ years old can join only accompanied by an adult who takes full responsibility.
- Maximum 20 seats available.
- The space has grandfloor accessing.
- Afghan Tasty Corner is a restaurant and a Universal Community hub, operating on a 'pay what you feel' model, serving delicious meals and drinks. You can join from 1-2 pm for lunch before starting the session.
Tickets are non-refundable, only transferable to a friend. If you are experiencing financial struggles, contact Shika at [email protected]. All materials provided. A donation will be made to support the ongoing fundraiser for the Afghan Tasty Corner to recover damage costs as a result of a break in that happened in October 2025.
