See event details

A gig held at Arnolfini on Saturday 2nd May. The event starts at 19:30.

Londoner Lisa Knapp first grabbed the world’s attention with her enthralling 2007 debut ‘Wild and Undaunted’. In 2025, she premiered a new duo with Gerry Diver, deepening a long creative partnership, and earning fresh critical acclaim.

“Folk at its most exalted” ★★★★★ The Observer

Together Knapp & Diver are a force to be reckoned with: fusing folklore and the everyday with dazzling directness. Knapps’ distinctive voice, and poetic precision braid the ancient and contemporary, while Diver’s fiddle virtuosity and trailblazing production, open a bold immersive sound world.

‘A marvel’ Mojo
‘★★★★★’ BBC Music Magazine

A winner of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for songwriting (for ‘Hidden Seam’), Knapp has collaborated with Blur’s Graham Coxon and released ‘Blackletter Garland’ (2023) as part of Hack Poets Guild. Diver, has collaborated with Shane MacGowan and Christy Moore, scored extensively for film and tv, and worked with Sinead O’Connor, Tom Robinson, Benjamin Zephaniah, and Damon Albarn.
