Beth Orton at The Trinity Centre
See event details

A gig held at The Trinity Centre on Monday 19th October. The event starts at 19:30.

Beth Orton is a pioneering singer-songwriter who redefined the boundaries between folk and electronic music. Emerging in the mid-1990s with her groundbreaking, intimate vocal style, she earned critical acclaim for blending acoustic storytelling with electronic beats—a genre-blending sound that earned her nominations for the Mercury Prize and a BRIT Award. With a career spanning seminal albums like Trailer Park and Central Reservation to her expansive recent work on Weather Alive, Orton is recognized for her deeply emotional song writing and distinctive "folktronica" aesthetic

Following a six-year hiatus, Beth Orton returns with Weather Alive, an album that sees her step into her own spotlight more than ever before. Produced entirely by Orton, this new material is a raw, evocative exploration of vulnerability, collaboration, and self-discovery. Featuring a "beautifully dazed" and expansive soundscape, Weather Alive is a masterclass in song writing.
