Safe As F*ck w/ Education Sessions at Basement 45
See event details

A clubnight held at Basement 45 on Saturday 18th November. The event starts at 22:00.

TONIGHT!!! TICKETS WILL BE MORE EXPENSIVE ON THE DOOR!

Safe As F*ck is back for a third time, bigger and better than ever before. Now featuring 2 rooms of music, immerse yourself in 90s rave euphoria no matter your music preference. After selling out the first two nights, we're expecting this one to be a zoo so be sure to pick up your tickets early!

We are thrilled to host the renowned Bristol collective Education Sessions, taking over room 1 all night with non-stop jungle and drum & bass - strictly 90s and strictly vinyl. Room 2 will see our resident DJs accompanied by special guests PHIA500 and Elianne, as well as a 2 hour takeover from the upcoming house collective Gourmet Sound Kitchen. You can read full artist bios below.

ROOM 1:

DJ Azure & ADM: We open up the main room with Dissonance Duo ADM & Azure, who have been a credit to Bristol's music scene for many years. They will be starting the night by playing some of their favourite influences from the early days and reaching for records that they might not usually select. They both recently hosted a packed out Lost Horizon when they bought DJ Sofa & Drumworks to Bristol for the very first time; we are extremely lucky to have them part of the Education Sessions team. Jake Om & Artificial Red: As we enter the peak of our line up we introduce to you one of the best back to backs we have encountered on our journey into event promotion. We see the 'Prince of Jungle' Jake Om meet with the 'Future of Jungle' Artificial Red which we know from a previous sell out event at The Crown will not disappoint. Artificial Red has recently had a release on Future Retro alongside DJ Chromz & Tim Reaper that you listen to here: https://futureretrolondon.bandcamp.com/album/fr024

T-Cuts: Originally the Black Gold vinyl fair was scheduled for this date and word was that 'Mined' frontman and badboy DJ 'T-Cuts' was in town, so we had to make the call. Unfortunately the vinyl fair got pushed back a week but this didn't stop T-Cuts from making the trip from Brighton to headline Education Sessions for the second time this year. We see him team up with one of the labels rising talents 'Eminence' to dig deep and take us into the deep and dark waters of their Jungle collection in separate sets. For all things Mined related check out T-Cuts’ Bandcamp: https://t-cuts.bandcamp.com/music

Eminence: As we enter the closing stages of our evening we introduce to the dancefloor one of rising stars amongst our team of residents with 'Eminence'. This talented DJ and Producer has been making noise across Leeds and Bristol for some time with her own event promotion called Upraw. Fresh off a release with 'Mined' it made sense to have Eminence supporting T-Cuts and to represent Education Sessions in the best possible way we can. Maybe she will play some of a 'Bit Of That Jungle Techno' that can be streamed here in the meantime:

Deejay Endo, Kung Fu Foster & Dannerz: The closing set of the night will go to the three founding residents of Education Sessions who kickstarted the movement back in 2022. Both Deejay Endo and Kung Fu Foster are true connoisseurs and will hand pick records that will compliment the very need of Basement 45. Dannerz will pick up the pace towards the end and leave the dancefloor wanting more. You can check out these DJs in the links provided.

ROOM 2:

Gourmet Sound Kitchen: Fresh off the back of their debut event, which packed out the club with good vibrations of top notch house music, this crew have left their Exeter roots behind and landed on the Bristol scene with a bang! They are no strangers to a good takeover, and will be filling the first two hours with 90s house rhythms guaranteed to get you grooving.

Elianne: She’s already conquered the Cardiff and London underground scenes, and now we can’t wait to welcome Elianne to Bristol for a blistering hour of oldskool house and acid. Armed with a dastardly collection of vinyl, expect to hear some sounds you’ve never heard before.

PHIA500: Fast becoming a household name in the Bristol garage/jungle scene, and with residencies at USB Bristol and Club Siren, Sophia is the definition of multi-talented. We’re in for a very special treat from 1-2am, as she will be delving deep and delivering a unique set of acid electro and jungle techno; not to be missed.

DJ Them b2b Liry: You asked, and we have delivered. The long-awaited linkup between our Safe As F*ck resident DJs is finally here, ready to close out the night with two hours of multi-genre madness. Taking you on a journey through oldskool rave, acid house, techno, ’92 style breakbeat, hard house, and finishing with some wicked hardcore, this will surely be a set to remember.
