Welcome to Discoteka! Our journey through the underground music scene begins on the 16th at Basement 45. With fresh and upcoming DJ's from from Bristol, including DJ's from both UOB and UWE.

LINE UP
Marcus Roworth (Terrace)
Terrace co-founder Marcus Roworth has been making huge waves in the Bristol music scene for a while now, gaining plaudits for his DJ mixes and production work from the industry heavyweights Latmun and Waff. Also supporting some very big names in the Tech House scene, playing a variety of club nights across the city and in his hometown of Nottingham his is going from strength to strength. If his recent performance at Motion’s Defected in the House event is anything to go by, you’re in for one hell of a treat.

Scherzo
Scherzo, formerly known as Manami, has been busy playing her way around Bristol these past few months. From The Old Crown Courts to the The Love Inn and Motion, she’s ready to showcase her selection of tech, acid house and disco beats influenced by old selectors and new at Discoteka.

Cartographer
Cartographer, AKA Jack Golding, will be gracing the decks this time round. Resident of the national event series Triple Cooked, the monthly Love Inn disco throw-down Five10 and tech-house night Terrace. He'll be showing off his diverse record bag with some afro rythms and soulful disco edits.

Heath and Clay
We are pleased to welcome this DJ Duo of brothers who are extremely gifted on a pair of decks. Taking over Room 2 for two hours, be prepared for a mix of a range of house genres, and a persistent thumping bassline.
Dassani
A regular at UoB DJSoc's events, Dassani combines his varied musical interests to pack his sets with the perfect balance of familiar bangers and underground gems. Expect everything from lo-fi, disco-y house to dark and stompy techno.
