A event on Sunday 29th March. The event starts at 11:00.
As part of their ‘Made in Bonnington’ residency, artists Charli Clark and Sylvia Rimat invite you to join them for a morning of plant champagne and tonic making.
We will start by foraging our ingredients in the Bonnington Walk community garden and nearby, such as dandelion and gorse flowers, apple blossoms and cleaver leaves. We will then prepare the flowers for the champagne and the tonic water. The champagne will take some weeks to ferment and bubble away and will be shared and enjoyed as part of our free book launch event in April (Sunday 26th, more info coming soon). The cleaver tonic can be tasted on the spot and you can bring a clean jar to take some home. The workshop will finish with a free shared lunch.
Where to meet:
The Bonnington Walk community building, off Greengage Close/ Merryweather Avenue, Lockleaze, Bristol, BS7 9FS
Age recommendation: 8+ (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
What to bring:
Please wear sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing for being outside for the first part of the event. Bring a clean jar if you’d like to take a sample of the cleaver tonic home.
