NOODS LEVELS & Bristol Beacon present CrossTalk ‘23: a day of talks and workshops for creatives delivered via cutting edge industry professionals. Over the course of the day, you will gain tangible insights into what’s needed to make a career in the creative sector, develop your practice and hear stories from those who have paved the way for the next generation to build upon.
The Talks
1300 - 1400: The Flight - Building sonic worlds to breathe life into blockbuster games.
1415 - 1515: Grime Stories Q&A with Risky Roadz & Dhelia Snoussi hosted by Tom Koast
1530 - 1630: Victoria Jane (BBC RADIO 1) Carving a career in radio’s competitive industry as an independent artist.
1700 - 1800: Tori West - Building an Art & Fashion Magazine as a Queer and Working Class Person
In collaboration with the Museum of London, Grime Stories Exhibition will be welcomed to Crosstalk 2023 alongside a Q&A with Risky Roadz and the exhibition’s producer Dhelia Snoussi hosted by Tom Koast.
Workshops
- A 2-hour workshop led by Saffron in collaboration with Pioneer DJ’s CIC ‘Start From Scratch’, encouraging and nurturing women, trans, non-binary and GNC DJ’s of the future.
- Aspiring sound technicians will be able to participate in a workshop from Music For Everyone, who will teach you how to successfully set up and run a live stage.
- Innovative software company Rocketmakers, will be holding a workshop for young creatives centred around VR & app development.
As well as talks and workshops there will be a public VR experience, an interactive synth station, and a pop-up studio from Noods Radio, soundtracking the day with some of Bristol’s most cherished young DJ’s.
