Ashley Henry at Bristol Beaocn Foyer
See event details

A gig on Friday 1st October. The event starts at 19:30.

South London pianist Ashley Henry is inspired by a wide range of audio and visual artists, ranging from Sinead Harnett, ZuZu, Era Istrefi, Freddie Mercury, and Dreezy. While his style is deeply rooted in jazz, Henry likes to explore a variety of sonic worlds, making him a “composer equally at home in post-bop and neo-soul,” (Clash).

He incorporates beats, hip hop, punk and grime into his work, creating a reflection of the alpha-jazz narrative that extends beyond different genres and generations. “Ashley Henry shows us how to dig deep into our core, his stylist piano playing is unique, full of emphasis, drama and poignancy,” (Jazz in Europe).

Ages: 14+ (Under 18s to be accompanied by an adult.)
