Alex Merritt & Rebecca Nash duo 15< sup>th< /sup> April 2026

This duo was born out of a mutual love and appreciation for the harmonic and melodic worlds of pianist John Taylor, as well that of 20th century composers Olivier Messiaen, Dmitri Shostakovich and the impressionism of Claude Debussy.
Alex and Rebecca unite these sound worlds and textures with their own aesthetic; 
Through lyrical improvisation and carefully crafted compositions, the duo explore the interplay of light and shadow, tension and release, their love of the spontaneous, alongside an appreciation for silence and space. A celebration of musical expression at its most poetic.
