Commotion feat. Laura Jurd at Bristol Music Club
Standard Admission

A gig on Wednesday 18th March. The event starts at 19:30.

Laura Jurd – Trumpet, Sam Crockatt - Tenor Sax, Raphael Clarkson – Trombone, Rebecca Nash – Piano, Riaan Vosloo - Double Bass, Matt Brown - Drums
Last November's Commotion gig with special guest Laura Jurd has to go down as one of the best gigs Fringe Jazz has presented over the last 13 years. Here we are just a few months later and we are delighted to report that Laura enjoyed the gig so much she's back with the band tonight.

Riaan Vosloo's Commotion features some of the finest musicians on the UK Jazz scene, including the brilliant trombone player Raphael Clarkson, saxophonists Sam Crockatt, the exceptional Bristol born Pianist and composer Rebecca Nash and on drums we have the excellent Matt Brown. All are bandleaders in their own right and combine to be a formidable outfit.

The band will be playing original compositions by both Riaan and Laura and a fascinating selection of music from composers ranging from Ellington to Sun Ra, from Clifford Jordan to William Parker and more.
Anyone who has been lucky enough to attend one or more of Riaan Vosloo's Commotion gigs at the club over the last three years will know how brilliant the band is and with the addition of Laura Jurd on trumpet this is going to a night not to miss.

Tickets are also available at TREBLEROCK Guitar Shop, 52 The Mall in Clifton Village.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
