The Cabot Cruising Club AKA John Sebastian Lightship is a social club run by a lovely bunch of volunteers.

FYI...
The performance is seated. No reservations, just turn up and choose your spot. 
There are only separate male & female toilets, and there is no disabled toilet onboard. 
Access to the bar and performance space is down steep steps but there is now a stair-lift from the entrance down to the bar and performance space!
