Creative Writing Feedback Workshop at Cafe Kino
See event details

A event held at Cafe Kino on Wednesday 11th December. The event starts at 17:30.

Join Bristol Writer's Network for a relaxed evening of writing feedback for poets, story writers, essayists, and writers of all levels.

Held at Cafe Kino at a table upstairs (space permitting) we will meet and share our writing in small groups or pairs and offer feedback. Each person can set how much they want and what they are looking for. You are also welcome to come read your work and ask for no feedback if you prefer. If you have never given feedback before don't stress! It can be as simple as asking the writer to talk more about characters, images, or even specific words!

Schedule:
5:30 - 6:00 - Meet, Greet and Set Up.
6:00 - 7:00 - Pair/Group feedback sessions
7:00 - 7:30 - Space for open reading to the group (optional!)

To join us, please grab a free ticket here so we can get a sense of numbers and we will email you a link to join the Bristol Writer's Network Whatsapp Group.

We ask people coming to upload their writing in advance to our Online Communal Writing Notebook https://board.net/p/Bristol_Writers_Network . There are instructions on how to use it on the pad. Please state at the start that these uploads are for the 11th December Feedback Workshop and look out for other people's writing there as well! We will use this pad to access the writing on the day of the workshop, but it also gives a chance for people who need more time to read, such as those with English as a second language, to have that time! However, if you would rather not upload it please just bring print outs for people to read or contact us on the Whatsapp and we can print copies for you. Please keep each piece under three pages (it can be an extract of a longer piece) and if you have multiple pieces put them in order of priority on the pad.

After the group work section there will be time at the end to share your writing with the whole group if you want to.

We hope to see you there!
